State and County officials gathered at the former Goodyear wire plant campus in Asheboro to break ground on a new manufacturing facility for Fibertex Personal Care. The company, based in Denmark, announced in 2017 that they would invest $114 million dollars and create 145 new jobs. Fibertex will begin hiring in April.
