Airgas USA will open a $47 million facility in Mebane that will break air down into liquid oxygen, nitrogen and argon. The company will hire 35 people and pay an average of about $78,750. The company’s products are commonly used in the healthcare, food & beverage, manufacturing, defense and aerospace industries. Airgas USA is based in Radnor Township, Pa. and is a subsidiary of the French company Air Liquide.
