Andrews High School hosted an Aviation Career Day for middle school students from Guilford County to learn more about the different career opportunities in aviation.
Students could participate in hands-on activities, such as flight simulators and drones, and interact with representatives from the Piedmont Triad’s largest employers in aviation including Boeing, Honda Jet, HAECO and Southwest.
Aleiah Martin, a junior at Andrews High School, shared her passion for flying and her goal of becoming a pilot. She moved from Salisbury to High Point to join the Aviation Academy and has been working toward her pilot’s license since she was 13 years old. She also wants to inspire other women to pursue careers in aviation.
