CEO & President Stan Kelly, Piedmont Triad Partnership, welcomed guests to the 2nd Annual PTP Breakfast Briefing.
President Nido Qubein, High Point University, serves as co-chairman of the PTP Board of Directors. Dr. Qubein gave brief remarks, including updates about the Carolina Core.
Chancellor Harold L. Martin, Sr., North Carolina A&T, serves on the PTP board. Dr. Martin introduced President Peter Hans, North Carolina Community Colleges System.
President Hans “highlighted the urgent need to accelerate the delivery of high-quality education to an increasingly diverse and growing population to ensure North Carolina’s future economic competitiveness. “
Jim Melvin, president, The Joseph M. Bryan Foundation, serves as vice chairman of the PTP Board. Mr. Melvin thanked Mr. Hans and introduced Secretary Jim Trogdon, N.C. Department of Transportation.
Secretary Trogdon “discussed how he and his team at NCDOT are accelerating projects, like Carolina Core, and streamlining delivery to meet the transportation needs of our growing region and state.”
